Frequency of Pyloric Stenosis in Patients Presenting with Persistent Vomiting

Introduction: Pyloric stenosis is an uncommon condition in infants characterized by abnormal thickening of the pylorus muscles stomach leading to gastric outlet obstruction. Clinically are well at birth. Then, 3 6 weeks age, present with "projectile" vomiting which can lead dehydration and weight loss. Objective: To determine frequency pyloric patient presenting persistent vomiting. Material Method: This Cross Sectional Study was conducted department Gastroenterology, ATH, Abbottabad from 5th October 2020 April 2021. A total 115 patients both gender for more than 5 days were included study. Abdominal ultrasound done a consultant gastroenterologist three years post fellowship experience. noted. Results: Age range this study 1 40 mean age 6.226±6.62 duration complaints 9.869±3.76 days. Male 88.7%% females 11.3%%. Stenosis observed 93% patients.
